How to run your first season
You do not control a skater directly. You build the conditions for a team to win, then learn from what happens on the ice.
1. Establish the club
Create your manager, choose a league environment and give your club a home, name, colours and crest.
2. Read the roster
Study positions, strengths, contracts and availability. Build balanced lines instead of ranking players by one number.
3. Plan player training
Choose development focuses and training intensity. PRO managers can build a weekly training regime that balances growth with recovery.
4. Build the staff
Hire coaches, scouts, trainers and medical staff. Each role supports a different part of player development, preparation and recovery.
5. Set the hockey plan
Choose line combinations, special teams and a tactical identity. Add situational changes for different score states.
6. Run match-day operations
Set ticket and concession prices, stock match-day inventory and choose equipment quality. Review the financial forecast before a home game.
7. Improve the arena
Add seats, upgrade facilities and schedule construction projects without exhausting the club's cash reserve.
8. Follow and adapt
Watch matches live or on replay, review results and standings, and use the market to solve weaknesses while planning contracts and cash flow for future seasons.
